Mrs. Evette Evers-Threatt, a dedicated educator for over 30 years, has lived out a lifelong calling to teach—one that began when she was a young student at MLK Preschool. Throughout her career, she has inspired countless students with her passion, creativity, and commitment to learning. A lifelong athlete who has been running track since the 3rd grade, she brings the same determination and energy to her classroom every day.

 

Beyond teaching, Mrs. Evers-Threatt is a creative spirit—she’s a poet, an avid crafter who enjoys designing projects with her Cricut, and a proud Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She’s also a certified “shoehead,” known for her love of sneakers and the unique style she brings wherever she goes. Her passion, creativity, and dedication leave a lasting impact on everyone she meets, making her truly deserving of this Teacher of the Year honor.
