Hello Tiger Family,

 

This year I am your counselor for all 7th grade scholars and 6th grade tiger cubs (A-L). I am excited to begin my 10th year at MLK! I am also the AVID counselor and will be coordinating several virtual college tours.

 

I will be working with Prototype Club, a self-awareness group for girls and it is my pleasure to facilitate opportunities for scholars to learn about themselves. I enjoy singing, dancing, drawing, reading, and learning about other cultures. I am a graduate of Pittsburg High School, GO PIRATES! I have received degrees from Xavier University and Chapman University. 

 

My wish is that EVERY scholar will be prepared for high school in order to become one step closer to their dreams which inclues college and career!

 

I am so glad that we are back in person. I hope that all of you will learn alot, stay healthy, safe, and continue to spend valuable time with your families. This is a very unique time that we all will get through. Remember that your life has a PURPOSE and you can continue to build your LEGACY by developing good character, continuing to learn, and creating plans for the future!

 

I will be posting counseling resources throughout the year along with Mr. Mendoza to help you manage this transitional time and take care of your social and emotional well being.
