ZaRinah Tillman-Perry, VICE Principal

Hello everyone!

My name is ZaRinah Tillman-Perry and I’m very excited to be a new member of the Tiger Family!  I have been in education for over 15 years, I first began my career in Oakland for two years serving as an educator for a charter school, then moved to Hayward for eight years where I taught grades 3-7. During my teaching years in Hayward I pursued an administrative master’s degree with University of Phoenix and earned my admin credential in administration in 2013. I took on my first administrative role at Encinal High/Jr High school in Alameda in 2015, starting off as the Dean of Student Discipline for grades 6-12 for three years and then moving up to the vice principal role for their Junior Jet program for two years. I have a strong belief in the importance of education and being a part of the community where you live, so I am feeling very fortunate to have been selected to serve as an administrator for Martin Luther King Jr, Junior High School and look forward to working with all of you and especially our scholars!
