It is with great delight that I welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year. 

 

This is my 17th year as an educator with the Pittsburg Unified School District. I obtained my Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from University of California, Riverside. After four years working for American International Group (AIG), I decided to follow my heart and passion which is in education. In 2008, I earned both a Multiple and a Single Subject in English Credentials from CSU East Bay and with those, I began my journey as an educator. I taught ELA, History, ELD, and Student Leadership at Rancho Medanos JHS here in Pittsburg. I also obtained a Masters of Art in Teaching Leadership from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga while at Rancho Medanos. 

 

In 2012 when a new junior high, Martin Luther King Jr. JHS, opened in 2012, I requested to be transferred and was ecstatic to become a Tiger. I continued as an ELA and Student Leadership teacher here at MLK Jr. JHS even after obtaining an Administrative Services Credential from Saint Mary’s until 2023 when I was blessed with the opportunity to serve the MLK community in the role of Vice Principal.

 

I am super excited to be starting my 2nd year as one of MLK’s Vice Principals. I can’t wait to meet our new 6th grade Tiger cubs and to welcome our new and returning 7th and 8th graders.
