This year I am your counselor for all 7th grade scholars and 6th grade tiger cubs (A-L). I am excited for my 14th year at MLK and 26th year in PUSD! I am also the AVID counselor and will be coordinating college tours and activities.

 

I will also be working with Prototype Club, a self-awareness group for girls and it is my pleasure to facilitate opportunities for scholars to learn about themselves. I enjoy singing, dancing, drawing, reading, traveling and learning about other cultures. I am a graduate of Pittsburg High School, GO PIRATES! I have received degrees from Xavier University and Chapman University. 

 

My wish is that EVERY scholar will be prepared for high school in order to become one step closer to their dreams which includes college and career!

 

I hope that all of you will learn a lot, stay healthy, safe, and continue to spend valuable time with your families. I believe that everyone's life has a PURPOSE and you can build your LEGACY by developing good character, being a life-long learner, and creating plans for the future!

 

I will be posting counseling resources throughout the year along with Mrs. Walker to help you take care of your social and emotional well being.
