Meet our community school coordinator

Jose rodriguez
Welcome to a new school year! My name is Jose Rodriguez, and I will serve as MLK’s Community Coordinator. I have been an educator for over 20 years. My last teaching position was at Foothill Elementary as a 5th grade teacher.
Working with scholars is an absolute passion of mine. I am very eager to learn more about each one of you and explore new ideas together. It is going to be a year full of engagement, learning, and community building. I cannot wait to see what the year has in store for all of us!
I enjoy assisting scholars in accomplishing their goals. It is my mission to instill a love of knowledge in our scholars. I truly believe that an education is an advantage for life, therefore I believe in having high expectations while assisting and providing opportunities for youth to reach their full potential.
As an educator, I have dreams for your child’s future. Together, we will assist and prepare our scholars for their journey as lifelong learners. Please feel free to contact me or stop by room A101.
